May River Contracting was established in 2002 as a local general contracting firm that focuses specifically on commercial construction. Licensed in both South Carolina and Georgia.

As Owner and President of May River Contracting, Andrew Fishkind has over 30 years experience in the construction industry. After 5 years working for a large general contractor in New York City, he joined a Virginia based general contractor and grew within the organization, to the level of Executive Vice President and Principal of their Southern Region. He was integral to the growth and expansion of this company from $34 million in 1988 to $600 Million dollars in 2001.

Steve Richbourg has over 30 years experience in the construction industry. Upon graduating college Steve entered the construction world full time as a Superintendent for the first 5 years of his career. His time in the field proved invaluable in his development as a project manager. A position he held for the next 5 years with the same Virginia based general contractor.
In 1997 Steve relocated to a larger Washington, DC based general contractor and spent the next 23 years there moving through the ranks to Executive Vice President. A position he held for over 10 years. During his years of service there he saw the company’s revenue grow from $85 million to $2.5 billion. Steve oversaw the corporate interiors business sector which was a $300 million business unit. While serving in this position Steve developed many long standing client relationships. One of which took the company nationwide in 2002. He was an integral part of the company’s national growth and became keenly aware of the importance of quality Superintendents and professional, like minded subcontractors. Being able to deliver seamless projects with superior quality while maintaining accurate construction schedules and budgets was key.
Teamwork and constant communication throughout the project leads to continued success and satisfied clients. Steve continues to have the passion and drive for construction. He truly values his ability to connect with all people involved in the projects that build and shape our communities.
